Steve “Puck” Parkin is preparing to take on an incredible endurance challenge in support of Veterans into Logistics, cycling 100 miles around the Lake District to raise vital funds for our charity.

On Friday 12 June, Puck will set off on the challenging route, taking on some of the Lake District’s demanding roads and climbs while raising money to support Armed Forces veterans across the UK.

By choosing to fundraise for Veterans into Logistics, Puck is helping us continue our mission of supporting veterans as they transition from military service and take the next steps towards sustainable civilian careers.

For many veterans, leaving the Armed Forces can mean adapting to a completely different way of life and identifying how the skills and experience gained during service can translate into civilian employment.

Veterans into Logistics provides support throughout that transition, helping veterans access training, gain qualifications and connect with employers offering meaningful career opportunities within the logistics sector.

As a charity, fundraising plays an important role in making this work possible. Alongside grants and donations, challenges like Puck’s help provide the funding needed to support more veterans through training and towards employment.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us create opportunities and provide veterans with the support they need to build greater stability and a positive future after leaving the Armed Forces.

Taking on 100 miles in the Lake District will require plenty of determination, resilience and preparation, and we are incredibly grateful that Puck has chosen to put that effort towards supporting our work.

Challenges like this also provide an important opportunity to raise awareness of Veterans into Logistics and introduce more people to the work being carried out to support the Armed Forces community.
