Veterans into Logistics was proud to join communities across Lancashire in recognising and celebrating the contribution of our Armed Forces community throughout Armed Forces Week.

Across the week, members of our team attended a number of events and flag-raising ceremonies in Bury, Rochdale and Middleton, joining local authorities, charities, veterans, serving personnel and members of the public in showing their support.

The week began with Veterans into Logistics attending the flag-raising ceremony at Bury Town Hall, in the home town of our charity.

Led by the Mayor of Bury, Mohammed Tahir Rafiq, the ceremony provided an opportunity for the local community to come together and recognise the service, dedication and sacrifice of those who have worn the uniform.

Veterans into Logistics was proudly represented in Bury by our General Manager, Danielle Sinclair, and Training Advisor, Harley Nolan.

Throughout the rest of the week, our team continued to attend events across the region, including ceremonies in Rochdale and Middleton, demonstrating our continued commitment to the Armed Forces community both locally and across the UK.

It was fantastic to see so many different organisations and individuals coming together throughout the week to recognise serving personnel, veterans and their families, while remembering those who served before them.

Armed Forces Week is also an important reminder that support for our Armed Forces community should not end when military service does.

For many veterans, transitioning into civilian life can mean adapting to an entirely new environment and identifying how the skills and experience gained during service can translate into a new career.

At Veterans into Logistics, we are proud to continue that support by helping veterans access training, gain qualifications and connect with employment opportunities that can provide stability and a rewarding future beyond the Armed Forces.

Events such as these also allow us to strengthen relationships with local authorities, fellow charities, community groups and support organisations, helping ensure veterans can access the right opportunities and assistance when they need it.

As Armed Forces Week came to a close, we were proud to reflect on a fantastic week of events and would like to thank everyone who organised, attended and supported the ceremonies across Lancashire.
