Veterans into Logistics is delighted to thank Lawsons (Whetstone) Ltd for their generous donation of an IVECO truck, which will be placed into auction to help raise vital funds for veterans transitioning into new careers.
This week, our team visited Lawsons’ Colney Heath branch to collect the vehicle and meet with colleagues to mark the donation. The truck will now be auctioned, with 100% of the funds raised going directly towards HGV driver training and employment support for veterans.
The contribution will help us continue removing barriers to training, providing qualifications and creating clear pathways into long-term, sustainable careers within the logistics sector.
During the visit, we were impressed not only by Lawsons’ operation but by their strong, family-led culture and genuine commitment to supporting people. Their openness, hospitality and shared values made a real impact on our team.
Dan, Head of Group Transport at Lawsons, said:
“It’s a really worthy cause and we want to support as much as we can moving forward. At Lawsons, it’s all about the people, and supporting veterans is something we’re really proud to get behind.”
Partnerships like this make a tangible difference, helping us support more veterans into meaningful employment and stable futures.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at Lawsons for their generosity and continued support.
Together, we’re helping more veterans build rewarding careers in logistics.
