The Veterans into Logistics team recently took on the Manchester 10K, joining thousands of runners for one of the city’s biggest running events.
Crossing the finish line was a fantastic achievement for everyone involved, but the day was about much more than completing the 10-kilometre course.
The team took part to raise awareness and funds for Veterans into Logistics, helping us continue our work supporting Armed Forces veterans as they transition into civilian life and build new careers.
Every mile completed helped shine a light on our mission and the support we provide to veterans looking to access training, gain qualifications and move into meaningful and sustainable employment.
Taking part in events such as the Manchester 10K also demonstrates the importance of teamwork, determination and coming together behind a shared purpose.
These are values that resonate strongly with Veterans into Logistics and the veterans we support, many of whom demonstrate incredible resilience and determination as they take the next steps in their lives after military service.
The funds raised through challenges and community events play an important role in helping us deliver our services and create opportunities for more veterans across the UK.
They also provide an opportunity to introduce our work to new audiences and raise greater awareness of the challenges some members of the Armed Forces community can face when transitioning into civilian employment.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who supported the team, made a donation or cheered them on throughout the event. Every message of encouragement helped keep them moving towards the finish line.
We would also like to congratulate everyone who represented Veterans into Logistics and took on the challenge.
It was a fantastic achievement and another great example of what can be accomplished when people come together to support our Armed Forces community.
Every mile making a difference. Driving Veterans Forward.
