Everyone at Veterans into Logistics would like to extend a huge thank you to those involved in the Ironbridge WW2 Weekender, which has raised an incredible £5,908 to support our work with Armed Forces veterans.

The fantastic total was achieved thanks to the dedication of organisers, volunteers, local businesses, community groups and everyone who attended and donated throughout the weekend.

A special thank you goes to Mike Smith and Mark Taylor from The Wheatsheaf Pub, who raised an outstanding £5,324 during the event.

We would also like to thank Bev Spink and Geri Spink from the Victory Belles Women’s Institute, whose fantastic fundraising efforts contributed a further £674.

The commitment shown by everyone involved will make a genuine difference to the veterans supported by Veterans into Logistics as they make the transition from military service into civilian life.

As a charity, fundraising and donations play an important role in allowing us to provide veterans with the support they need to take the next steps towards a new career.

The money raised will help us continue funding training and qualifications, while connecting veterans with employment opportunities across the logistics sector and supporting them throughout their journey.

For many of the people we work with, gaining the right qualifications can be a significant barrier to accessing employment after leaving the Armed Forces.

Support from fundraising events such as the Ironbridge WW2 Weekender helps us remove some of those barriers and provide veterans with opportunities to use their skills, experience and determination to build rewarding civilian careers.

The £5,908 raised represents much more than an incredible fundraising total. It will contribute directly towards creating opportunities and helping veterans build greater stability and independence through meaningful employment.
