Representatives from Veterans into Logistics were honoured to attend the unveiling ceremony at Willow Park in Middleton, where a memorial stone was formally placed in memory of Joel Halliwell VC.
The event brought together members of the local community, veterans, serving personnel and supporters to pay tribute to a man whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire generations. It was a moving occasion and a fitting tribute to one of the nation's bravest sons.
The ceremony also recognised the service and sacrifice of other military personnel, including Lee Rigby and Scott Hetherington, ensuring their memory continues to be preserved within the local community.
Events such as these are an important reminder of the dedication, bravery and selflessness shown by members of the Armed Forces, both past and present. They provide an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served and to ensure their legacy is never forgotten.
Veterans into Logistics remains committed to supporting the Armed Forces community and was proud to stand alongside those paying their respects on such a significant day.
Lest we forget.
