General Manager
After leaving school, I began my career as a trainee Estimator and Quantity Surveyor with a small local building contractor, later earning a BSc in Quantity Surveying. Working within a predominantly male industry from a young age helped me develop resilience, confidence, and a strong professional foundation that has shaped my career ever since.
During the economic recession of 2010, I successfully transitioned out of the construction sector and into recruitment, where I spent seven years working for a large national organisation. This period strengthened my leadership and people-management skills while reinforcing my passion for supporting individuals in finding meaningful employment.
In 2018, following the birth of my second child, I took time away from my career to focus on family life. When I was ready to return to work, I joined Veterans into Logistics, initially as a short-term role but one that quickly became far more than that.
Supporting veterans and individuals who have faced significant personal and professional challenges is both humbling and deeply rewarding. Being part of their journey as they rebuild confidence, purpose, and stability is at the heart of what we do as a charity.
Seeing how far Veterans into Logistics has grown in such a short period of time and witnessing the life-changing impact of our work, is a constant source of pride and motivation.
