Trustee
David has spent his career working throughout the logistics industry, developing an in-depth understanding of distribution networks, last-mile delivery, pallet networks, third-party logistics and strategic partnerships across the UK and beyond.
A significant part of David’s career was spent building Xclusive, a recruitment company focused entirely on the logistics sector, which he created, led and successfully sold.
Through his work, David has supported businesses ranging from start-ups to multinational organisations, helping them identify and secure talented people across logistics, supply chain, transport and distribution.
His experience extends beyond recruitment, having worked closely with businesses on their wider logistics strategies, building high-performing teams, developing delivery models and supporting organisations looking to grow and enter new markets.
This has given David a valuable combination of industry knowledge and people insight, alongside an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing businesses throughout the logistics sector.
In 2024, David created Logistics Explained, an initiative designed to celebrate the diverse world of supply chain and logistics and give something back to an industry he has spent much of his career working within.
Now, David is looking to use that experience to support Veterans into Logistics and our mission of helping members of the Armed Forces community build successful civilian careers.
David said he was “delighted and proud” to join the charity as a Trustee and is looking forward to supporting the team as we continue helping veterans find secure and skilled employment within the logistics sector.
He is also passionate about supporting our logistics partners, helping employers recognise the valuable and highly transferable skills veterans can bring to their organisations.
Veterans into Logistics provides veterans with a supported pathway towards employment, which can include fully funded HGV training and qualifications alongside employment support and connections with our logistics partners.
David’s appointment adds further logistics and commercial expertise to our Board of Trustees, while his extensive industry network will help us continue developing relationships and creating opportunities across the sector.
We are delighted to welcome David to Veterans into Logistics and look forward to working together as we continue to grow the charity and support more veterans into rewarding new careers.
