David Warburton-Broadhurst

David joined Veterans into Logistics in September 2021 as a Trustee and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the organisation.

David is an experienced IT Professional having held various executive and board-level positions with several organisations. He has a successful track record of delivering multi-million-pound programmes with extensive systems implementation experience within a blue-chip environment, working with PE and Venture capital investments, through acquisitions, divestments and successful events exits. David has the ability to provide strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills with people at all levels within the organisation, operating at the board level and with the management team. 

David has managed multi-vendor, multi-skilled, multi-cultural teams.  key skills include integrating acquired company IT infrastructure, managing large technology projects, translating complex business requirements into functional deliverables, managing change across international jurisdictions; the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate these into technical requirements, and managing technical diverse teams ranging from project teams to functional departments; delivering change and aligning IT to act as a business enabler with the ability to strategically align and execute technology and business goals.

David currently heads up a consulting practice offering fractional CIO/CTO support to commercial organisations. In his spare time, David plays the piano and is an accomplished pianist.

Heidi Chapman

Born and educated in Wales, Heidi is an award-winning entrepreneur who has experience in business leadership and driving successful start-ups. A degree-qualified business leadership specialist, she has a strong track record of achievements in both commercial and charity fields. Heidi’s collaboration skills, business acumen and ability to integrate seamlessly with a variety of stakeholders have defined the success of multiple start-up companies.

Heidi is passionately committed to helping the charity sector and has been an active volunteer with several charities during their early years. These include the Make A Wish Foundation UK, Teenage Cancer Trust, Maggies Centres (The Christie Hospital) and also she is an Ambassador for the Manchester based charity, Prevent Breast Cancer.

Andy Ellis

Andy Ellis, a retailer with over thirty five years of experience in the food and non-food sectors. Former Executive Vice President of Walmart Canada and Supply Chain Director of UK based retailer ASDA. Extensive supply chain, Logistics and operations experience gained in the UK and internationally, prioritising sales, profit and customer service through innovation, systems and continuous improvement.

Andy has been an Independent Consultant for the past 5 years focussing on change Management, business processes and operational effectiveness.

Daryl Jon Groves

Major Daryl Groves RA joined the Royal Artillery in 1993 and has deployed on several operations across the globe this includes Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan. An energetic and effective operations and planning operation within the Military with an innovative and motivational leadership style with 30 years of professional experience in the Army.

Proven history of delivering results in complex and dynamic environments, with a strong background in security, leadership, project, and people management. Areas of expertise include leading multi-disciplinary teams, strategic planning, project management and the operational execution of plans.

Within the Military Daryl has been in the forefront of delivering new capability into UK Defence, established, and delivered macro level security and surveillance plans across extensive operational real-estate in theatres of Operations. Daryl has performed under pressure in challenging and fast paced environment as operations manager conducting future planning for forecasted and emerging events, including facilitating deployments, movements, and logistics support.

Devised and delivered training and development in a combat environment of 300 deployed soldiers deployed on operations. Daryl is passionate about giving back and helping veterans who have fallen on hard times, having seen the devastation of our soldiers being homeless going to jail and committing suicide.
